![]() Sept. 15, 2006 Emergency Management Office Announces NIMS Training SessionsFULTON - The Oswego County Emergency Management Office will hold additional training sessions for emergency workers who need to comply with the new federal National Incident Management System (NIMS) training requirements. The training sessions will be:
All volunteers and workers responding to emergency situations must take ICS 100, Introduction to Incident Command System, and FEMA IS-700, NIMS: An Introduction, in order for their agency to receive federal grant funds. Patricia Egan, Director of the Oswego County Emergency Management Office, said the regulations affect first responders and disaster workers at all levels of government and the private sector. All Oswego County municipalities are required to be compliant by Sept. 15. Pre-registration is required because class size is limited. To pre-register, call the Oswego County Emergency Management Office, weekdays, at 591-9150 as soon as possible.
