![]() November 20, 2009 Legislature Supports 'Home 4 The Holidays' Campaign
This holiday season, the Oswego County Humane Society has joined forces with several local groups to promote the adoption of homeless pets in Oswego County. County Legislature Vice Chairman John Proud welcomed “Chloe,” a Yorkshire terrier who is waiting to be adopted, along with volunteers to proclaim November as “Home 4 the Holidays Month.” From left are Jo Piersma and Lee Maniccia of the Humane Society, Legislator Proud, Chloe, and Jenn Dussault, Paws Across Oswego County. Other groups involved in the effort are Dogs Deserve Better in Oswego County, Harborhound Greyhound Rescue, Puppymill Rescue, Marsha's Mulligans, Oswego County Guinea Pig Rescue, Adopt-a-Puppy, and United Friends of Homeless Animals.
