Fort Brewerton Block House
The Block House Museum. located on Route 11 in Brewerton,
touches on 10,000 years of
history from Paleo-Indian to World War I. Adjacent to the museum is the original earthworks of a
1759 British fortification. The Stevens Block House is a replica of the original home built in
by Oliver Stevens, the first permanent white settler in Oswego County.
The museum is open the first weekend in June through the second weekend in September,
and by appointment. Fridays and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
