Duties:

  • Staff live at the camp during our work week (Sunday evening to Friday night). Staff has each weekend off and one weekday evening off per week.
  • Most staff live in cabins with campers and are responsible for their well-being and care.
  • Typical camp days are spent preparing activities for the camper, eating meals with them and participating in all activities.
  • Duties normally run from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. each camp day.

  • Staff are paid biweekly. Pay varies depending on position.

Director:

  • Lead a team of 30 staff running a camp program for children aged 8-14
  • Develop team-building, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Organize pre-season camp programs and special events

Salary:
$10,150

Dates of Employment:
Jan. 2 - May 23, 2014 (part-time, flexible hours)
May 26 - Aug. 15, 2014 (full-time/requires residency Mon. - Fri.)
(Job can be split as pre-season and summer if necessary)

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (education, recreation or related field preferred) or 25 years of age with experience in recreation. At least 24 weeks of administrative or supervising experience.

$2,450 (plus room and board)

Dates of Employment:
June 22 - Aug. 15, 2014

Ability to lifeguard before camp starts, weekends during camp and after camp ends for rental groups

Qualifications:
Current Certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR or equivalent

Group Activity Leader:

  • Plan and lead a specific activity area (i.e. arts/crafts, nature, sports)
  • Supervise staff
  • Work as a team member to create programs for elementary school aged children

Salary Range:
$2,601 (plus room and board)

June 22 - Aug. 15, 2014 + 2 days precamp.

Qualifications:
*Must be 17-years-old, with paid or volunteer experience working with children

Kitchen Helper/Counselor:

  • Performing basic kitchen and clean up duties
  • Helping to prepare meals for the campers and staff
  • Serving meals to campers and staff
  • Be a positive role model for children between the ages of 8 and 14 years old
  • Provide cabin supervision, assuring the campers are safe and working as a team and that the cabin is clean
  • When not in the kitchen participate in group activities in program areas
Salary Range:
$2,240 (plus room and board)

June 22 - Aug. 15, 2014

Qualifications:
*Must be 17 years of age, and have some kitchen work experience and experience interacting with children.
